It's been quite some time since I've done any genealogy research. Currently, I am waiting for the Butler Library to send me 4 copies of obituaries. Two are for a Marie Draper, age 5 months, 1907, and whose father is listed as William R. Draper. Ruby had told me there was a sister before her named Marie. The dates seem to match up with her having the same birth date as my grandmother's older sister, Margareta. I'm wondering if she was a twin.

The other two obituaries are ones I have spent years searching for...James and Barbara Draper. They are my great-great-grandparents. I'm excited to see what information is in these obituaries.

Next month, I am going to order the birth registries of William R. Draper and Margaret M. Cunningham. Thanks to the Carnegie Library in Pittsburgh, Pa., these are now available for most Allegheny county births before 1906. I'm hoping to obtain more information on their parents through these registries.

My main focus lately, has been on the Tobik side of my family. The latest pieces of the puzzle are a few Naturalization Records I had found for my great-grandfather, Paul. One of the documents had a picture of him! This was an exciting find, as I had never seen a picture of him. Unfortunately, this will probably conclude my research on the Tobiks, because the rest of the documents are in Slovakia. Unless I plan to travel there, or spend a fortune hiring a professional genealogist, there is not much else I can do. I do have a copy of the family tree, which dates back to 1671.

I will be posting a few pictures later this week.
